You're searching the web for wedding ideas then you just suddenly found yourself registering for a bridal mailing list. You sit back and relax for now. The next day, you check your inbox and a thousand or so emails greet you - excited brides discussing their wedding worries and praises, searching for suppliers, ranting or deciding which color could be the best accent for a magenta gown. You read a few mails. And then a dozen. And maybe a couple more. A couple of hours later, you stop reading. What the hell are these acronyms?
B2B - bride to be; that semi-hysterical person almost resembling the looks of a girl (when not in her usual monster/bridezilla image) who thinks the whole wide world (and mostly unwanted future in-laws or not-so-close friends, but can also include catering account executives) is about to sabotage the best five hours of her life
H2B - husband to be; that cool guy who's oblivious to B2B's worries and who thinks he can just appear at the altar come his wedding day
MIL - mother-in-law; could come in different forms - domineering and controls anything and everything from the guest list to the number of roses on the reception table, or could be as peaceful, sweet and supportive as mine ;-)
FIL - father-in-law; another cool guy
MOB - mother of the bride; could also come in different forms, see MIL
FOB - father of the bride; could be another cool guy or one that's trying his best to face the reality that his little girl is finally getting married (sniff)
MOH - maid of honor or matron of honor; usually, the bride's favorite sister or best friend
BM - best man; H2B's best bro, best bud or if the B2B is powerful enough, this could be any man of HER choice
FG - the cute and cuddly flower girls, not the first gentleman
PS - principal sponsors; depending on the couple, this could range from two to two dozens
SS - secondary sponsors
SIL - sister-in-law; i dont really remember why there's SIL but no BIL (brother-in-law), maybe because SIL's could also sometimes act like MILs ?
